Our Staff & Leaders
Levi Lentz Pastor
I have the privilege of serving as the interim pastor of SGCC. My wife, Ashley, and I have been married for three years and love being part of this church family. I came to know the Lord as a child and have been walking with Him ever since. My family and I began attending SGCC in 2016, and in 2020 I joined the staff as an intern. I graduated from LBC in 2022 with a degree in Pastoral Ministries and Biblical Studies. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve the people of SGCC and excited to see how God continues to work in and through our church. Ashley and I enjoy traveling together, and at home we love spending time with our two dogs, Milo and Bailey.
Tom Gittins
Elder
My name is Tom Gittins, and my wonderful wife of 49 years is DeAnn. We have three adult children, and 11 grandchildren. I have been a believer for approximately 56 years, but it wasn’t until I was in the Air Force at the age of 18 that I started growing in Christ. I have served in various ministry positions over the years from youth groups (both of us), teaching senior high and junior high Sunday School classes, choir, worship teams, drama ministry, to over 26 years as an elder. In addition, I served as the Interim Executive Director at SGCC in 2018 during our transition from Pastor Lonnie Skiles to when Pastor Gordi McIlroy came on board the same year. DeAnn has been involved in women’s ministries in and out of the church for years. We have been at SGCC since late 2013, but actively attending since September 2016. I am currently on my third 3 year term as an elder for a total of 7 years. DeAnn and I were both in the Air Force when our paths crossed in Japan, and then married in Japan. We have two anniversaries: November 20 and 22, 1975. You will have to ask us to find out why!!
Steve Hare
Elder
I have the privilege and honor of serving as an Elder at SGCC and have done so since 2023. My wife, Joey, and I have been happily married for 25 years and are parents to two adult daughters, Lily and Summer, and our dog, Bella. I put my trust in the Lord at the age of 15, which was and will always be the best decision I have ever made in my life. Joey and I have been worshipping at SGCC since 2020 and feel so blessed to be part of this amazing church family! As a 1999 graduate of The Pennsylvania State University, I am a diehard Nittany Lions football fan and enjoy attending as many of their games as possible. My other hobbies and passions include running, fitness, hiking, fishing, golf, and traveling
Dan White
Elder
My name is Dan White. My wife’s name is Judi. As of July 10, 2025, we have been married 54 years. We have three children, 10 grandchildren, and currently 4 great- grandchildren (with another one coming in April 2026). I placed my faith in my Savior, Jesus Christ, in November 1957 at the age of 7 years. I dedicated my life for His service in October 1966. I graduated from our school, Grace College, Winona Lake, IN, in 1972. I went on to Grace Theological Seminary in 1976. Later on, I fulfilled the requirements for a D Min degree in 2011. I served in the Charis Fellowship ministry from 1976—2014 … with the exception of 1 ½ years out of ministry … before coming to pastor the York Grace Brethren Church. I have served as a Student Care Mentor at Lancaster Bible College since Fall 2014. Judi and I began attending SGCC in 2015, joining as members in 2016. I joined the staff at our church as part-time pastor of congregational care. With the approval of our pastor and elder team, I will be seeking to help mobilize our people in caring for our church. I hope you will consider being a willing part of that team. Judi and I enjoy watching Barcelona soccer … Go, Barca!
Chris Reeves
Worship Band Leader
I first started serving at SGCC in 2018 playing bass guitar and leading songs. I’ve been serving on staff as the worship leader since August 2021. Serving as worship leader, my primary job is to cultivate a space where people can worship their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in spirit and truth. I work with Pastor Levi weekly, to support and reinforce Sunday’s message. Other duties include selecting music and organizing and scheduling worship team members and tech team members to serve weekly. I have a simple philosophy…my job is to love God and love people. If I’m truly able to love and serve the volunteers who serve in the worship ministry, Sunday morning will take care of itself. My wife, Deidrah and I have been married for over 30 years. We have two adult children Walter and Kayla.
